Fallen tree damages car in West Country storm
Roads were blocked and a car was crushed when strong winds brought down trees across the west of England.
Train services between Bath and Salisbury, Gloucester and Cardiff and Somerset to London were affected.
In Gloucestershire, the fire service said several properties had been flooded in Quedgeley.
Western Power said across the South West, some 7,000 homes were without power overnight but that number had dropped to 2,000 by 06:00 GMT.
The firm said most of the problems were in Devon but some homes in Crewkerne, Somerset, were also affected.more
